Visitor Climbs Via, Shares Photos, and Writes About Experience

We had a visitor, Al, who climbed the Via Ferrata at NROC recently and shared his online photo album with us. He also eloquently wrote the following about his experience climbing:

Why rock climbing? It symbolizes our spiritual journey. The need to be focused, persistence against the odds, wisdom to overcome obstacles, diligence to follow your guide, endurance to prevail. As Sai Baba would say, start early, travel slow – arrive safely. It all started with a dream, I was scaling a mountain made of very smooth glass, without any success. The message was, without imperfections, we can not rise to the top. Jagged ridges, crags, holes, protuberances and cracks along the climb give us something to hang on or a foothold. That message is clear to me to this day.

Thanks for visiting, Al! We’re glad you came and hope to see you again in the future!
